Delastek's history



From its foundation in 1984 until this day, Delastek went from six to more than one hundred employees and now, has a surface of almost 100,000 square feet for two production sites.

  • In 2009 : Delastek obtains UL certification for the Valcourt industrial plant.
  • In 2008 : Delastek obtains AS9100 certification.
  • In 2006 : Investment project of 3.4M for high-tech equipment and development of new value- added products developing which values the integration of technologies acquired.
  • In 2004 : Delastek certifies their first STC for BLMS and obtains ISO 9001:2000 Certification.
  • In 2003 : Opening of the electric system plant in Valcourt.
  • In 2003 : First research project on composite material with CRIAQ
  • In 2002 : Delastek starts production of composite material for aerospace filed.
  • In 2000 : A major investment of 4.7 millions allowed the addition of specialized equipment for plastic and composite material manufacturing.
  • In 1997 : Development and production of electronic on-board parts for aerospace.
  • In 1996 : Delastek becomes the first stick assembly Canadian supplier.
  • In 1992 : Delastek obtains its first contract in Aerospace for Pratt & Whitney Canada.
  • In 1990 : Major investment in Research and Development project for the EET-4000.
  • In 1987 : Claude Lessard and Lucie McCutcheon become partners in Delastek acquisition.
  • In 1984 : Foundation of Delastek. Delastek begins with calcoil manufacturing which consists in paper thickness calibration for mills of the region.
